Job description
Overview
Canco Fasteners seeks a proficient Tool and Die Maker capable of independently executing die manufacturing, fitting, alterations, and upkeep to support production demands in our factory.
Key Duties
- Create and maintain press dies and progressive dies used in manufacturing processes
- Fabricate export-standard dies and tooling for fasteners and metal products
- Perform assembly, fitting, alignment, modification, and repair of dies
- Operate press and CNC machines integral to die work
- Interpret engineering blueprints, including dimensions and tolerances
- Identify and resolve production issues related to dies
- Enhance existing dies to boost manufacturing efficiency
- Liaise with production teams to ensure quality output consistency
- Ensure tools, dies, and machinery are in optimal working condition
Required Abilities
- Expertise in making and maintaining progressive and press dies
- Skilled in die fitting and repair techniques
- Familiarity with press and CNC machine operations
- Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings
- Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving die-related production problems
