Role Overview

This position is a full-time, on-site role located in Adelaide, South Australia. The Tiler will be responsible for preparing surfaces, precision measuring and cutting of tiles, and laying tiles as per project specs and blueprints across various commercial and residential sites. Daily duties involve mixing and applying adhesives and grouts, achieving accurate tile alignment and level finishes, and performing precise work around fixtures, edges, and joints. The role requires reading and interpreting plans, coordinating efforts with site managers and other trades, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace in compliance with company safety standards. Additionally, the Tiler will inspect completed work for quality assurance, address any defects encountered, and support the timely delivery of projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong expertise in tiling for both wall and floor applications, encompassing general tiling and flooring tasks.
• Experience handling various tile materials, including ceramic and marble.
• Capability with intricate and decorative work such as mosaics.
• Relevant trade qualifications or completion of an apprenticeship in tiling or a related construction trade.
• Comprehensive understanding of surface preparation, waterproofing techniques, and the ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• A firm commitment to worksite safety and knowledge of construction safety protocols.
• Efficiency in working within set project deadlines, both independently and collaboratively.
• Possession of a current driver's license and willingness to travel to different sites throughout South Australia is highly advantageous.
