Role Overview

The position is for a full-time, on-site Tiler based in Singapore. Responsibilities encompass preparing work surfaces through cleaning, leveling, and layout marking, followed by installing tiles using the correct adhesives, tools, and techniques. Daily activities involve precise cutting, fitting, aligning tile patterns, grouting, and finishing edges to comply with design specifications and safety guidelines. The role requires working with different tile materials and collaborating closely with supervisors and other tradespeople on site. Maintenance of tools and safety compliance are also essential. In periods lacking tiling assignments, the employee may be rotated to other construction roles and stations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in flooring installation, particularly tiling and surface preparation.
• Proficiency in working with ceramic and marble tiles, including cutting, fitting, and finishing techniques.
• Skilled in creating and installing decorative mosaics or complex tile patterns.
• Knowledgeable about suitable adhesives, grouts, leveling practices, and fundamental construction measurement principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, spatial reasoning capabilities, and the ability to interpret simple drawings or layout plans.
• Physically capable of performing manual labor involving lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
• Dedicated to following on-site safety protocols and correctly using personal protective equipment.
• Previous tiling or related trade work experience; vocational training or apprenticeship is favorable.
• Dependable, punctual, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
