Therapy Assistant

About the Role

We support seniors recovering from injuries, stroke, surgery, or hospitalization by providing comprehensive care aimed at enhancing their physical and mental wellness and helping them regain independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Therapists or exercise trainers during therapy treatments or fitness sessions.
• Safely transport residents to and from treatment areas and assist them onto therapy equipment.
• Encourage and guide residents or clients as they perform exercises and functional activities under general supervision.
• Lead group therapy activities such as circuit training or Occupational Therapy groups.
• Monitor clients during treatments and observe their reactions and progress.
• Communicate observations and feedback to Therapists or Exercise Trainers to enhance quality of care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and disinfect equipment post-treatment.
• Manage inventory, ensuring sufficient supplies of rehabilitation materials and expendables.

Candidate Profile

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic work setting.
• Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in using Google Suite applications.

Desirable Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Willingness to work across various locations.
• Multilingual abilities to effectively communicate with seniors in local languages.

Educational Requirement

Minimum qualification of WSQ Certificate in Therapy Services.

Available work sites include Chai Chee Nursing Home, Jurong West Nursing Home, and Serangoon Day Rehabilitation Centre.
