About the Role
Join Cinemark's maintenance team and play a crucial role in ensuring our theatres and equipment function optimally, providing an inviting atmosphere for our guests. The work primarily occurs during non-operational hours but can also happen during business hours. You will be responsible for repairing and maintaining various theatre elements, from seats and fixtures to sidewalks and office equipment. Additionally, you will assist and advise when external contractors perform major repairs beyond your expertise.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and upkeep on theatre property, including tile, carpeting, restroom fixtures, countertops, mirrors, walls, partitions, drinking fountains, minor plumbing and electrical tasks, office furniture, and auditorium seating.
- Maintain tools and supplies by keeping them clean, organized, and properly stored.
- Remove debris, broken parts, and leftover supplies promptly after completing repairs.
- Keep designated maintenance storage areas tidy and organized.
- Conduct inspections of the theatre and property to confirm cleanliness and operational readiness for the next day.
- Coordinate repair and maintenance tasks with the General Manager.
- Communicate needed parts and supplies to the General Manager for procurement.
- Maintain possession of theatre keys and ensure outside doors are locked during non-operational hours.
- Prevent unauthorized access to the building during maintenance shifts.
- Liaise with external vendors by granting access and directing them to appropriate work locations.
- Appropriately use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when carrying out role-specific tasks.
- Adapt to the frequency and extent of required cleaning duties.
- Monitor and report safety and security concerns such as trip hazards, lighting issues, or suspicious activities.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Available to work flexible shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
- Demonstrate a positive, energetic, and friendly demeanor during shifts.
- Deliver excellent customer service to guests.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and comprehend English.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Capable of following instructions attentively.
- Responsive and acts with urgency when needed.
- Possess reliable transportation to obtain parts and supplies.
- Physical agility to navigate tight spaces such as restroom stalls and auditorium seating rows.
- Knowledgeable in the safe mixing and disposal of chemicals according to local and state regulations.
Physical and Environmental Demands
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Regular standing, walking, and reaching throughout the theatre premises.
- Exposure to moderate to high noise levels at times.
- Ability to remain standing for extended durations.

Compensation
Pay range for this role is between $21.50 and $24.24 per hour.
