Test Operator

Position Summary

dormakaba is looking for a Test Operator located in Montreal responsible for conducting functional testing on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using test jigs. The role involves setting up and configuring basic test arrangements according to test sheet instructions, as well as reporting quality issues and recurring problems to the relevant teams.

Job Duties

• Prepare and arrange test jigs for PCB testing.
• Perform PCB functional tests using test jigs based on manufacturing engineering guidelines.
• Operate various testing devices, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency counters, adjustable power supplies, and computers.
• Read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.
• Notify appropriate personnel of quality observations, concerns, and repeated issues to the concerned operators or technicians.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of high school or an equivalent certificate.
• Excellent manual dexterity and keen visual accuracy.
• Proven competence in multiple electronic assembly techniques.
• Experience in assembly and soldering tasks.
• Comfortable using computers and standard office/testing software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Capability to collaborate effectively within a global multidisciplinary team.
• Previous experience in an electronics manufacturing environment involving testing or quality control roles.
• Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD) handling procedures.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
