Job description
Role Overview
As a Territory Sales Executive, your primary responsibility will be to boost sales within a designated region by nurturing strong customer relationships, growing current accounts, and discovering new business prospects. This role requires fieldwork, frequent interactions with customers including retail, trade, and contractors, and a proactive, goal-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee sales and business growth in an assigned geographical territory.
- Develop and implement a structured plan to maximize customer outreach and sales opportunities.
- Target and secure new accounts while reinforcing existing customer connections.
- Consistently pursue new business in established and emerging markets.
- Achieve sustainable revenue growth aligned with monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and development prospects.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with retail, trade, and contractor customers by understanding their requirements and tailoring product solutions.
- Monitor account performance to expand product presence and increase customer share.
- Promptly address customer inquiries and resolve complaints to ensure satisfaction.
- Drive sales through regular visits, meetings, and telephonic communication.
- Coordinate with internal sales support to accurately handle orders with correct pricing and specifications.
- Follow-up on quotations, pending orders, and customer needs to maximize conversion rates.
- Promote company products by emphasizing benefits and new innovations.
- Support introductions of new products within the clientele.
- Gather market data including customer feedback, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Identify evolving market demands and uncover new sales opportunities within the territory.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales Support, Customer Service, and Warehouse Operations to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer experiences.
- Maintain professionalism representing the company.
- Use CRM tools and KPI reports to track sales activities and monitor performance against targets.
- Keep detailed records of customer interactions, opportunities, and developments.
- Regularly provide sales forecasts and territory progress updates to management.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated background in field sales, territory sales, business development, or account management.
- Exceptional skills in relationship building and customer service.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and influencing talents.
- Highly organized with effective territory planning abilities.
- Self-driven, capable of working independently and prioritizing tasks.
- Superior communication and presentation skills.
- Competent in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Valid full clean driving licence.
Travel and Location Details
- Frequent travel within the assigned territory is essential.
- Occasional overnight stays may be required for meetings, exhibitions, training, or development initiatives.
- Conduct all customer and industry engagements representing the company professionally.
- Assigned territory includes: Cavan, Offaly, Westmeath, Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon, Clare, Galway, Mayo, and Sligo.
