Job description
Role Overview
Join DSV as a Terminal Operator Specialist in Singapore, where you will play a crucial role in managing and dispatching shipping operations both domestically and internationally. This position is integral to ensuring smooth shipment processing, coordination with logistics partners, and maintaining compliance with shipping regulations across all transported goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and execute the preparation and handling of outbound shipments worldwide.
- Verify and authenticate shipping documents including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, Letters of Credit, and import/export permits.
- Collaborate effectively with logistics providers, carriers, and freight forwarders to coordinate shipment movement.
- Monitor shipment progress and address any delays, inconsistencies, or damage issues that arise.
- Keep thorough and up-to-date shipment records within company systems.
- Ensure all logistical activities comply with applicable customs and transport regulations.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding shipment statuses.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of international shipping protocols including Incoterms and customs procedures.
- Proficiency using enterprise resource planning or warehouse management systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace.
