Tender & Estimation Engineer (Entry-Level/QS Background)

About the Role

Boilermaster Pte Ltd is looking for a Tender & Estimation Engineer to assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and proposal development specifically for projects in the process industry. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or early-career individuals with a background in Quantity Surveying or Engineering looking to build expertise in project cost management and commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Help prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labor, and related project expenditures.
• Support budgeting processes and monitor costs under the guidance of senior personnel.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to contribute to proposals and tender submissions.
• Assist in conducting cost analysis and value engineering evaluations.
• Draft necessary documentation for clients and internal approvals.
• Adhere to organizational procedures and applicable industry regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience ranging from fresh graduate to up to five years in relevant fields.
• Desired certifications in Quantity Surveying.

Skills & Technical Competencies

• Familiarity with cost estimation software applications.
• Basic knowledge or eagerness to learn about construction processes and materials used in the process industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with some sales aptitude.
• Understanding of industry standards such as API and ASME.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Awareness of CRM software and industry-specific estimation tools.
