Job description
Position Summary
We are inviting applications for the role of Technology Project Manager / Program Manager based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position requires an experienced professional to oversee complex technology initiatives in the banking sector, especially focusing on Core Banking Migration projects involving TCS BaNCS @ NCS to Temenos transition. The candidate will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee complete technology projects or programs, from initial planning stages through to successful completion.
- Take charge of Core Banking Migration projects, specifically the migration from TCS BaNCS @ NCS to Temenos platform.
- Manage project elements such as scope, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, vendor coordination, and handling change requests effectively.
- Engage closely with business units, technical teams, vendors, and senior leadership to align project objectives and progress.
- Ensure compliance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) procedures, governance frameworks, quality benchmarks, and delivery deadlines.
- Prepare detailed project and program status updates for senior management review.
- Offer technical oversight and guidance on banking technology projects.
Key Qualification Criteria
- Possess 10 to 15 years of experience in managing technology projects or programs within the banking domain.
- Have 4 to 6 years of professional exposure working with banks located in UAE or the GCC regions.
- Demonstrate solid expertise in handling Core Banking Migration projects.
- Experience with TCS BaNCS and/or Temenos platforms, with a strong preference for those who have worked specifically on the TCS BaNCS @ NCS to Temenos migration.
- Knowledge of Digital Banking services such as Mobile Banking, Wallets, Debit Cards, or concepts like Open Banking or Open Finance is desirable.
- Proficiency in SDLC methodologies, tools including MS Project and JIRA, along with skills in risk and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities, capable of working independently while engaging with diverse teams.
