About the Role

EPCC Assistance, a technical support company specializing in electrical commissioning and instrumentation across energy sectors such as Oil & Gas, nuclear, wind, chemical, and solar, is seeking an Instrumentation Precommissioning / Commissioning Technician for a project in Qatar. The company operates internationally and works with major clients including TotalEnergies, SAIPEM, SBM Offshore, and SPIE.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect installation of instruments and equipment, ensuring mechanical checks and compliance with drawings.
• Perform calibration and testing of instrumentation including pressure, flow, level, temperature sensors, and analyzers.
• Execute loop checks and functional testing of control and safety loops such as DCS, ESD, and fire & gas systems.
• Complete and maintain installation test records (ITR), punch lists, and precommissioning documentation.
• Collaborate with client and commissioning teams during system start-up phases.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental procedures and work permit requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Education in instrumentation field (e.g., BTS CIRA, BUT GEII, Physical Measurements or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in instrumentation precommissioning/commissioning, preferably in Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficient in reading P&ID, loop diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
• Knowledge of ATEX/Ex hazardous areas is valued.
• Professional working proficiency in English mandatory.
• Available immediately for a short-term mission in the Middle East.
