Role Overview
The Quality Technician will be an integral member of the Quality department, supporting Research & Development, pilot testing, and manufacturing processes. The individual will conduct hands-on testing, inspections, measurements, and data gathering involving materials, components, and processes. Close collaboration with Quality and R&D teams is essential to maintain measurement accuracy, data reliability, proper use of equipment, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control testing on incoming materials, during processing, and on experimental trials related to R&D and manufacturing.
- Operate, maintain, and perform routine evaluations of laboratory instruments and measurement tools.
- Execute dimensional inspections using metrological devices while implementing fundamental geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
- Document and analyze test results, identify deviations or variations, and aid teams in enhancing quality protocols.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Diploma holder in Mechanical, Production, Automobile Engineering or related engineering fields with at least three years of relevant practical experience.
- Experience or keen interest in laboratory testing, metrology, inspection procedures, instrumentation, or quality assurance in production.
- Strong ability to comply with test methods, standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and data integrity standards, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrate collaborative behavior, have basic proficiency in MS Office applications, and a willingness to learn within an R&D focused environment.
