Job Overview

The Mechanical & Electrical Technician will oversee routine maintenance and repairs within guest rooms and shared spaces. Their duties include preventative upkeep for guest rooms and public areas and attending to repairs involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering and maintenance activities for the hotel property and its grounds
• Address engineering and maintenance issues promptly
• Carry out and supervise maintenance and preventative tasks
• Respond swiftly to any building safety concerns
• Ensure departmental adherence to hotel maintenance protocols
• Support various hotel maintenance initiatives by performing regular daily, weekly, and monthly inspections
• Assist management in selecting appropriate supplies and equipment needed for operations
• Handle concerns related to guests
• Maintain hotel areas including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house through diverse trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC servicing, painting, wall covering, and tiling to uphold an attractive and functional environment
• Operate basic hand and power tools competently

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in construction or hotel maintenance departments is beneficial
• Fundamental understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry principles
• Capable of performing tasks with attention to detail, accuracy, speed, and minimal supervision
• Flexible to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
• Problem-solving skills for practical situations lacking standardized procedures
• Dependable with punctual and consistent attendance
• Open exclusively to Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents
