Technical Solutions Lead

Overview

We are seeking a Technical Solutions Lead to join our team at WorkSafe New Zealand. In this role, you will help design, develop, and deliver high-quality digital products by leading a team of about 25 professionals including developers, functional consultants, designers, product owners, business analysts, and testers. You will play a pivotal role in guiding our DevOps practices within an Agile framework and focus on enhancing our user-centric self-service portal, MyWorkSafe.

You will be part of Digital and Information Services, the unit committed to helping WorkSafe use smart technology solutions that empower employees with effective digital tools to foster safer and healthier workplaces across Aotearoa.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions aligned with organisational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable system architectures, data models, and integrated solutions.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Promote seamless integration of platform solutions with enterprise systems.
• Continuously assess new Power Platform capabilities and optimise solution performance.
• Manage and mentor a team of four direct reports.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong foundational expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PowerPages is essential.
• Experience leading technical solutions in an Agile DevOps environment.
• Familiarity with user-centric design principles is advantageous, especially for expanding self-service portals.

Additional Information

This opportunity is offered as a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
