Technical Sales Engineer - Electrical

Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and goal-oriented Technical Sales Engineer with solid expertise in Electrical and Control Systems to join our team. The role entails crafting both technical and commercial proposals for turnkey projects, engaging closely with clients to grasp their requirements, devising engineering solutions, selecting suitable equipment, coordinating with providers, estimating costs, and assisting the sales team through every phase of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze RFQs, project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to create compliant technical and commercial proposals.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs), perform cost estimation, prepare pricing sheets, and compile commercial summaries.
• Formulate technical solutions including compliance statements, deviation notes, single line diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, and system architecture drawings.
• Choose appropriate electrical and control system equipment, and liaise with OEMs and suppliers for technical and commercial support.
• Ensure all electrical works adhere to international standards such as IEC, BS, IEEE, NEC and local authority regulations.
• Produce comprehensive technical and commercial proposals including engineering solutions, documentation, and tender submissions with thorough review of submittals, datasheets, method statements, BOMs, and calculations.
• Provide technical support during sales meetings, presentations, and clarify tenders as needed.
• Offer post-sale technical support through project handover, engineering, procurement, execution, commissioning activities, factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT), and after-sales services.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time project delivery.
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and continuous improvement of engineering techniques and processes.

Technical Skills Required

• Extensive knowledge of Power Distribution Systems, HVAC, industrial controls, low-voltage power distribution, and system integration.

• Experience working with Airport Equipment, MRO Hangars, or infrastructure developments.
• Familiarity with UAE or GCC market and authority approval processes like DEWA and Civil Defense.
• Membership in professional engineering associations is advantageous.
• Possession of a valid UAE Driving License is preferred.
