Job description
About SoSafe and the Role
SoSafe aims to become Europe’s premier provider of human risk management by delivering an award-winning cybersecurity awareness platform that fosters behavioural change through engaging training and simulations. With cybercrime causing over $10 trillion in losses globally and growing annually by 15%, this role provides a chance to be part of an impactful solution.
Role Overview
The Technical Program Manager will be embedded within one of SoSafe's platform teams, managing complex initiatives that impact multiple services simultaneously. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Tech Leads, you will coordinate roadmap sequencing, early risk identification, cross-team alignment, and smooth deliveries that affect many dependent teams. This position focuses on delivering results rather than producing status reports, streamlining processes to remove unseen obstacles that drain time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution for programs affecting numerous services, such as architecture migrations, compliance updates, or decommissioning legacy systems.
- Collaborate with Product and Go-To-Market teams on platform updates impacting customers, ensuring synchronized rollout, communication, and commitments with engineering efforts.
- Promote adoption of shared platform features across teams, bridging the gap between delivery and actual usage.
- Oversee multi-team migrations requiring precise sequencing due to downstream dependencies, legacy restrictions, and external obligations, preventing costly delays.
- Maintain critical program management tools including dependency maps, risk registers, decision logs, and regular coordination meetings essential for multiple concurrent projects.
- Establish measurable delivery health indicators—like incident frequency, adoption metrics, and time-to-completion—and use these insights to drive improvements instead of creating mere reports.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Extensive experience managing complex cross-functional technical programs, particularly with responsibility for technical decision-making.
- Strong technical understanding to confidently engage in engineering discussions without necessarily writing code.
- Ability to bring clarity and lightweight structure to ambiguous challenges without overcomplicating solutions.
- Experience serving internal engineering teams as consumers of your deliverables, such as infrastructure, data pipelines or internal APIs.
- Proven track record managing migrations or sunset projects that affect downstream stakeholders, executed with reliability and trust.
- Direct and concise communication style, with documented decisions and ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed.
- Familiarity and opinions on using modern engineering tools like Jira and Confluence effectively.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Background in infrastructure, data engineering, or AI/ML platform environments.
- Experience in SaaS companies during periods of platform consolidation or modernization.
- Understanding of Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and monitoring practices as meaningful delivery indicators, beyond just SRE tools.
Success Milestones
- Within 3 months: Fully integrated with engineering leadership, with clear status on active programs and influencing improved planning, tracking, and communication.
- Within 6 months: Trusted partner ensuring predictable delivery of initiatives and early identification of cross-team dependencies.
- Within 12 months: Organization-wide adoption of delivery rhythms you helped establish, with automated program mechanisms and focus on upcoming challenges.
Employee Benefits
- Flexible working hours with 33 vacation days enabling strong work-life balance.
- Access to wellbeing and financial support services, including Open Up and corporate discounts.
- Opportunities for connection through virtual events, team activities, and local meet-ups.
- Additional benefits such as tech equipment provision, referral bonuses, and a dog-friendly headquarters.
- Benefits may vary slightly by location and are detailed further during interviews.
