About the Role
AWS Infrastructure Services handles the design, planning, implementation, and ongoing operation of AWS's global infrastructure, delivering continuous access to cloud services by managing data centers and the underlying server, networking, and power equipment. The team collaborates across multiple disciplines such as software and hardware engineering, supply chain, security, and operations to maintain high standards of safety, security, and cost efficiency for customers.
Key Responsibilities
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will steer risk management efforts for AWS facilities, guiding initiatives from risk identification through successful mitigation. The role involves strategic and technical proficiency combined with exceptional capability to manage stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams spread across multiple regions. Duties include facilitating technical discussions, removing obstacles, managing capital budgets, optimizing activities, and accelerating project timelines.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in risk management frameworks, program execution for complex technical projects, and effective influence without direct authority. They must be adept at delivering results amidst ambiguity, managing remote teams, and ensuring safety and resilience of critical infrastructure that enables AWS's cloud platform.

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing technical infrastructure projects encompassing scope, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and risk management.
- Proven ability to coordinate across functional teams, establish sustainable processes, and maintain project timelines.
- Experience in evaluating technical challenges and recommending clear solutions to drive decisions and delivery.
- Skilled in conducting detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses and presenting findings to key stakeholders.
- Track record in managing external vendors such as colocation providers, contractors, and equipment manufacturers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in data center project delivery and critical infrastructure systems.
- Familiarity with infrastructure risk management standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of risk management tools and frameworks.
- Understanding of the Asia-Pacific data center market.
