Role Overview

This Technical Program Manager position involves managing program governance, tracking execution, handling stakeholder communication, and ensuring delivery excellence for technological projects. The ideal candidate will deeply understand software engineering processes and collaborate closely with teams from Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Business domains. The role emphasizes organizing complex programs, preemptively addressing risks and dependencies, and guaranteeing timely, quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee program and project governance for multiple tech initiatives and strategic efforts, ensuring progress aligns with plans.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules including milestones, timelines, deliverables, and key dependencies.
• Monitor ongoing progress, promptly identifying and communicating any delays or deviations from targets.
• Lead regular program update meetings and track completion of action items.
• Develop comprehensive dashboards, management information systems, status reports, and updates for leadership.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product, Architecture, DevOps, Security, QA, and Infrastructure units to drive project execution.
• Grasp technical dependencies, participate in architecture discussions, and oversee release planning and engineering milestones.
• Manage tracking of critical technology outputs like platform upgrades, application launches, migrations, integrations, and transformation projects.
• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to resolve interdependencies and remove blockers affecting key deliverables.
• Convey intricate technical progress to clear, leadership-friendly business communications.
• Proactively detect program risks, issues, bottlenecks, and inter-team dependencies, maintaining a RAID log.
• Ensure timely addressing and mitigation of identified risks and issues, escalating significant concerns with full context and impact analysis.
• Drive resolution of dependencies across multiple tech disciplines.
• Collaborate with senior engineering and business stakeholders to align priorities and timelines.
• Conduct program governance and steering committee meetings, facilitating stakeholder engagement and clear communication.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with stakeholders to ensure accountability and task completion.
• Refine and establish technology program management processes, frameworks, and governance standards.
• Implement standard reporting and tracking systems across various programs to enhance transparency and predictability.
• Identify and promote efficiencies to improve delivery performance and operational effectiveness.
• Support leadership with data-driven insights into program health and execution.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Technical PMO, Technical Program Management, Project Management, or Technology Operations roles.
• Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle and technology delivery processes.
• Proven success collaborating with Engineering and other cross-functional technology teams.
• Strong expertise in program and project planning, tracking, and governance.
• Hands-on experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and timelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Capability in designing dashboards, MIS, and executive-level reports.
• Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint.
• Experience using project/program management tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or Asana.

Preferred Skills

• Background in FinTech, Payments, Banking, SaaS, or high-growth tech organizations.
• Familiarity with Cloud technology, APIs, Microservices, Data Platforms, DevOps, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Architecture concepts.
• Experience collaborating within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Knowledge of technology transformations including platform modernization, cloud migration, or major integrations.
• Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum, or SAFe are advantageous.

Additional Information

• Educational qualification: Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology, ideally in Computer Science.
• Position based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, with 5 working days at the office.
