Job description
Position Overview
Sonar is seeking driven Product Managers passionate about developing products favored by developers globally. Joining our Product Management team, you will help establish the vision and roadmaps for SonarQube Cloud, SonarQube Server, and SonarQube for IDE. We desire Product Managers with strong technical expertise in Code Quality to refine our offerings, promoting more dependable, maintainable software and a fluid user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and communicate the Code Quality Product Vision both internally and externally.
- Investigate, refine, and prioritize development opportunities to maintain a robust roadmap.
- Engage with users and customers via the product forum to offer support, gather feedback, and spot enhancement chances.
- Gain comprehensive expertise in code quality and empower developers to produce high-quality software.
- Collaborate with fellow product managers to craft features spanning multiple products.
- Coordinate closely with engineering and UX teams, supporting problem definition through to solution delivery.
- Balance innovation, stability, and improvement through alignment with engineering teams.
- Represent Sonar at conferences and deliver presentations if interested.
- Contribute to the evolution of Product Management practices, organizational tools, and workflows.
Experience and Qualifications
- Strong enthusiasm for software development and the best practices leading to robust applications.
- In-depth knowledge of code quality relevant to one or more programming languages or environments.
- Technical insight into architectures related to code scanning and static analysis.
- Familiarity with recent advances in AI-assisted coding.
- Prior software product management experience, preferably within agile frameworks.
- Highly self-directed and pragmatic problem solver.
- Open-mindedness coupled with an optimistic, positive approach.
- Adaptable to complex, evolving, and uncertain environments.
- Confident in challenging existing conventions while constructively receiving feedback.
- Demonstrated leadership by owning initiatives from conception to completion.
