Xapien is transforming how organisations identify and verify their stakeholders, from suppliers to partners, by leveraging advanced AI technology. Since its inception in 2018, Xapien has evolved from a startup into a global leader in AI-powered due diligence and risk intelligence. In recent years, the company secured a $10M Series A funding, gained prestigious industry recognitions, and expanded its reach across multiple continents including the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania. Its clientele spans various sectors, notably wealth management, financial services, and supply chain onboarding.

Role Overview

Joining Xapien as a Technical Product Manager presents a unique opportunity to impact the future of the due diligence field with a leading, AI-driven product. The role focuses on managing the technical aspects of the product, specifically the data integrations, investigative methodologies, APIs, and workflow embedding used by customers. It demands a practical approach to working with technical documentation and collaborating closely with engineering teams to define and deliver features aligned with customer needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and take ownership of your product domain end-to-end, from problem framing to solution validation and timely, high-quality releases.
  • Conduct comprehensive discovery activities like customer interviews, analyzing usage data, and market research to inform strategy.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration among Product, Engineering, Solutions, Support, and commercial teams, resolving obstacles and maintaining alignment.
  • Oversee product metrics to balance user and commercial priorities.
  • Manage the roadmap for integrating external data sources, assessing providers for coverage, quality, licensing, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with engineering to design data ingestion, entity matching, and transparent sourcing within reports.
  • Define investigative strategies for data use, research engine focus, data processing, and evaluation of improvements.
  • Engage deeply with customer due diligence workflows to identify and extend Xapien's potential in this area.
  • Drive integration of Xapien into customer platforms such as CRMs and screening tools, setting functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Define and measure success metrics for integrations, iterating based on actual usage feedback.
  • Lead development and direction of Xapien's configuration API and MCP capabilities, focusing on design, versioning, backward compatibility, and user experience.
  • Author and maintain documentation and examples to assist technical users and serve as the developers' advocate within the product team.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in B2B SaaS product management, particularly with technical products involving APIs, integrations, or data platforms.
  • Comfort with technical discussions including APIs, webhooks, data mapping, authentication, and technical documentation.
  • Hands-on use of API tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI; familiarity with Claude for concept prototyping.
  • Proven record of shipping technical features, managing trade-offs, and delivering outcomes effectively.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, adept at defining metrics, interpreting data, and making data-informed decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to bridge the gap between commercial stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • A proactive mindset willing to identify gaps, assume ownership, and grow professionally within a fast-paced, expanding company.

Additional Interests

  • Background or interest in due diligence, compliance, governance, risk management, or related regulated data-intensive sectors.
  • Understanding of large language models and emerging standards like MCP.
  • Experience working with third-party data providers and licensing agreements.
  • Previous exposure to startup environments and rapid growth dynamics.

Employee Benefits

  • A supportive culture focused on career growth and providing resources for success.
  • Equity opportunities via an employee share scheme to share in company success.
  • Private health insurance coverage.
  • Life insurance for peace of mind.
  • Unlimited vacation policy to promote work-life balance.
  • Annual professional development budget of £1,000 for continuous learning, including areas beyond work.
  • A commitment to helping employees realize their full potential.
