Technical Office Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Technical Office Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. This role involves detailed review and analysis of technical documentation to support project execution and tender procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine technical drawings and project specifications thoroughly.
• Develop, review, and analyze Bills of Quantities (BOQs) accurately.
• Manage tender documentation and provide assistance through the entire tendering process.
• Conduct quantity surveying activities and perform material take-offs.
• Research pricing for construction materials and assist in selecting suitable materials.
• Collaborate closely with project and design teams to ensure timely and precise submissions.

Candidate Requirements

• Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
• At least 2 years of pertinent work experience in a similar role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of tender processes and contract documentation.
• Capability to interpret and understand technical drawings effectively.
• Practical experience in preparing and managing BOQs as well as quantity surveying.
• Familiarity with construction materials and an understanding of market pricing.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in BIM technologies such as Revit or Navisworks.
• Experience using PlanSwift or comparable take-off software applications.
• Site experience is an advantage.
