Role Overview

Join a pioneering Web3 cybersecurity startup focused on expanding its remote-first team through a multifaceted Technical Marketer / Community Manager / Developer Advocate position. This unique role blends engineering acumen with marketing insight to help the company enhance visibility and engagement within the Web3 ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality technical materials including articles, tutorials, in-depth analyses, social media content, and product guides tailored for developers and security experts.
  • Develop code samples, visual diagrams, and demonstrations that effectively communicate complex technical ideas.
  • Address community inquiries related to the product, blockchain infrastructure, and security topics by providing precise and well-researched answers, collaborating with internal engineers when necessary.
  • Actively participate in conversations with developers, researchers, auditors, and protocol team members to foster strong professional connections through valuable technical engagement.
  • Monitor industry trends, including blockchain security incidents and protocol updates, by analyzing primary sources such as codebases, postmortems, and onchain data before sharing insights.
  • Collaborate closely with founders and engineering teams to fully understand product functions, integration details, and constraints to ensure accurate communication to technical audiences.
  • Expand the company's reach by distributing content through official channels and leveraging personal professional networks with agreed expectations on public account activity.
  • Provide feedback from community interactions to enhance company content, documentation, and messaging strategies.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrable hands-on experience in software engineering, proven through professional roles, shipped projects, open-source contributions, or technical research in security.
  • Comprehensive understanding of blockchain technology, including smart contracts, onchain transactions, and prevalent security vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to interpret relevant code, critically evaluate technical statements, and communicate system functionalities clearly.
  • A portfolio showcasing precise and approachable technical content, such as tutorials, research articles, security assessments, and detailed technical discussions.
  • An active and credible presence within the Web3 or engineering community, with significant engagement from technical peers prioritized over follower quantity.
  • Proficiency in written English and adeptness in managing public technical conversations, including handling follow-up queries and respectful debates.
  • Meticulous research and fact-checking skills, recognizing when to qualify information or consult internal experts.
  • Capability to work autonomously within a remote-first environment, collaborating asynchronously and maintaining steady content output.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in blockchain security fields such as smart contract audits, incident analysis, or security tool development.
  • Background in developer relations, technical education, or advocacy for technical products.
  • Familiarity with DeFi, wallet infrastructures, smart accounts, or transaction security mechanisms.
  • Skills in creating integration documentation, sample applications, or technical demos.
  • Working knowledge of Markdown, GitHub, diagramming software, and automated content workflows.

Success Metrics

  • Creation of technically precise content that draws and engages the targeted expert audience.
  • Delivering meaningful community interactions that build trust and credibility in the company.
  • Establishing deeper connections with developers, researchers, and protocol teams.
  • Driving increased awareness and interest in the company’s products among relevant technical users.
  • Maintaining a consistent feedback system between the community and engineering teams to inform ongoing improvements.
