Technical Manager - ELV and Fire Alarm Systems

About the Role

CESCO invites applications for the position of Technical Manager specializing in ELV and Fire Alarm Systems based in Lusail, Qatar. This role requires a seasoned engineering professional with robust experience in Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and life safety system engineering to oversee technical operations across complex construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct engineering design reviews and manage technical documentation such as submittals, shop and as-built drawings, and secure technical approvals.
• Coordinate technical interactions among clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities effectively.
• Lead engineering management for diverse ELV systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, structured cabling, data centers, PA/BGM, audio visual, nurse call, lighting control, central battery, parking management, queue management, gate barriers, emergency lighting, and guest room management systems.
• Take charge of Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems review processes, including cause and effect matrices, calculations, layouts, and approvals from governing authorities.
• Facilitate testing and commissioning activities such as FAT, SAT, system demonstrations, handover processes, and troubleshooting of technical issues.
• Ensure all engineering solutions comply with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related field.
• A total of 8 to 12 years of pertinent experience, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to ELV and Fire Alarm Systems engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale projects across multiple sectors including construction, infrastructure, healthcare, hospitality, airports, government, military, mixed-use, and data centers.
• Hands-on experience working within the GCC region is highly desirable.
