Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Analyze client requirements independently, devise appropriate solutions, and manage the entire development cycle from inception to delivery.
- Communicate directly with clients in the US to understand their needs and explain technical approaches clearly.
- Develop and maintain web applications primarily using PHP and Laravel frameworks.
- Troubleshoot advanced application and production issues, performing root cause analysis.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, database configurations, and integration with third-party services.
- Provide technical effort estimates, identify project risks, and report progress along with dependencies.
- Lead and mentor a small team of developers when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with quality assurance and other technical teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Stay updated and effectively use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Kiro, ChatGPT, and GitHub Copilot to enhance software development processes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 12 to 15 years of professional software development experience.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and requirement gathering.
- Proficiency in PHP and Laravel application development.
- Strong experience in REST API development and web applications.
- Familiarity with version control systems including Git, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
- Advanced debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
- Solid understanding of software design principles and development best practices.
- Ability to work independently with full ownership of tasks.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding software developers.
- Knowledge and practical use of AI-assisted software development tools.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in optimizing application performance.
- Experience with cloud-based software applications.
- Familiarity with Redis, queues, and managing background jobs.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways.
- Knowledge of automated testing techniques.
