Role Overview

The Customer Tribe at ASB is a collaborative unit focused on delivering automation solutions that enhance ease for both staff and customers by using specialist software tools.

This role requires leading the technical design and execution of projects, offering expert advice on software architecture and integration, as well as developing scalable, reusable, and secure engineering solutions following modern best practices. A key aspect is promoting clean coding standards, process automation, and performance enhancement, while mentoring team members and evaluating new technologies aligned with ASB’s strategic directions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and technical delivery of projects and teams.
• Provide expert consultation on software architecture, system integration, and development tools.
• Create scalable and reusable components with a focus on security and established engineering processes.
• Champion code quality, automation techniques, and system performance tuning.
• Guide and develop engineers to enhance the capabilities of the team.
• Investigate and recommend emerging technologies suitable for ASB’s strategic goals.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates must demonstrate initiative, deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities. Effective communication skills are essential to discuss technology trade-offs and influence software development lifecycle processes.

Positive attitude and excellent communication will facilitate knowledge sharing and capability building within the organisation.

Required Skills and Experience

• Over 10 years of direct experience in Pega development and capability building.
• Certified Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) or equivalent experience, including multiple Pega projects and at least Pega Certified System Architect (CSSA) level.
• Hands-on experience or strong understanding of Pega Cloud and cloud architectures.
• Experience working on regulatory and compliance-related projects.
• Extensive knowledge of software delivery lifecycles.
• Ability to employ technical stack knowledge to address business challenges effectively.
• Confidence in implementing and advocating industry best practices.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and practices.
• Experience in analysis, design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level systems utilizing Agile frameworks.
• Solid understanding of integration techniques and architectures.
