Technical Assistant

Position Overview

The Mobile Van Technical Head will significantly contribute to enhancing our brand's visibility and marketing efforts by traveling extensively across Karnataka. This role involves engaging with key influencers in the construction sector such as engineers, architects, contractors, masons, bar benders, builders, and dealers through meetings and technical demonstrations focused on promoting our steel bars.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel statewide in the mobile technical van with the team to visit construction sites and engage influencers directly.
• Conduct daily dealer or counter meetings presenting to groups of approximately 30–40 individuals.
• Deliver live demonstrations highlighting product features, quality, applications, and technical benefits.
• Educate customers and influencers on product specifications, optimal construction methods, company promotional schemes, and resolve technical questions.
• Establish strong connections with dealers and construction professionals, converting technical engagements into sales opportunities by coordinating with the sales team.
• Track and follow up on customer inquiries originating from meetings to maximize sales conversions.
• Plan and implement monthly travel and event schedules in alignment with Sales and Marketing departments.
• Document all meetings by recording attendee details, capturing photographs, logging inquiries, and tracking follow-up status.
• Provide detailed daily and weekly activity reports covering meetings held, attendance, inquiries received, sales generated, and future plans.
• Support product launches and marketing campaigns through effective technical presentations and onsite demonstrations.

Performance Expectations and KPIs

• Develop brand recognition through compelling technical presentations, live demos, and engaging influencer interactions.
• Drive business growth by generating inquiries, facilitating sales conversions, and boosting sales in target locations.
• Meet monthly objectives related to dealer meets, influencer engagement initiatives, technical demos, and sales achievements.
• Measure performance via site visit counts, number of dealer and influencer meets, participant attendance, inquiries, sales/orders, new contacts made, brand awareness activities, and customer feedback.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is required.
• Candidates with equivalent expertise in Steel, Cement, TMT bars, Building Materials, Construction Chemicals, Pipes, or Roofing sectors are also welcome.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in technical marketing, influencer marketing, dealer development, or field sales.
• Documented experience organizing specialized meets including Bar Bender, Mason, Dealer, Contractor, Engineer, and Architect gatherings alongside technical demonstrations.
• Comprehensive understanding of building materials and construction methodologies.
• Excellent presentation skills, confident public speaking, persuasive negotiation, and relationship management capabilities.
• Readiness to travel extensively within Karnataka and accommodate overnight stays when necessary.
