Technical Architect – High-Rise Construction

About the Role

ASGC, a prominent vertically integrated construction group in the UAE, is searching for a seasoned Technical Architect to join the Technical Department in Dubai. The role is pivotal in facilitating smooth execution of landmark high-rise and complex developments by bridging design and construction teams, ensuring technical precision, and fostering cooperation among architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate detailed architectural shop drawings encompassing concrete measurements, setting-out plans, blockwork layouts, and premium finishing details.
• Guarantee thorough coordination of architectural documents with related structural and MEP plans.
• Lead multi-disciplinary BIM coordination efforts using Revit and Navisworks, including clash detection and resolution management among architecture, structure, and MEP trades.
• Oversee architectural coordination for façade interfaces, expansion joints, transfer slabs, and core areas specific to high-rise projects.
• Ensure accurate integration of intricate façade systems and building envelope elements.
• Prepare and handle RFIs, technical clarifications, and submitting architectural materials, collaborating with consultants to resolve comments and obtain approvals.
• Comply with all project specs and UAE regulations, including the Life Safety Code, Dubai Municipality, and Dubai Civil Defense standards.
• Offer technical support onsite by providing practical solutions for buildability challenges and assist site teams with technical guidance and preparation of as-built records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• 8 to 15 years of architectural technical coordination experience in construction.
• At least 5 years working with a Tier-1 contractor in the UAE.
• Demonstrated involvement in high-rise towers (50+ stories) or complex mixed-use developments.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Revit (mandatory) and AutoCAD.
• Solid working knowledge of Navisworks and Aconex platforms.
• Expertise in waterproofing systems, façade details, and reinforced concrete architectural elements.
