Technical Architect – Agentic AI

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Architect specializing in Agentic AI to partner with a leading government client in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role involves converting advanced Generative AI and Agentic AI strategies into robust, large-scale enterprise implementations. The architect will engage directly with business stakeholders, development teams, system integrators, and technology providers to develop AI designs, integration strategies, governance frameworks, and execution methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to discover high-impact use cases for Agentic and Generative AI.
• Convert business needs into scalable AI architectures and technical solutions.
• Design both single and multi-agent AI systems including workflows, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms.
• Develop solution designs involving large and small language models (LLMs/SLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, agent memory, APIs, and tool/function integration.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise platforms like Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and Azure cloud services.
• Generate comprehensive technical requirements, architecture blueprints, and integration documentation for implementation teams.
• Work alongside system integrators and technology vendors during solution development and deployment phases.
• Critically evaluate vendor solution designs and technical proposals.
• Establish frameworks for AI governance encompassing security, data accessibility, privacy, and sovereignty considerations.
• Create user acceptance test (UAT) scenarios and technical criteria for AI system validation.
• Assist with UAT execution, assess performance, and oversee technical approvals before production rollout.
• Evaluate AI solutions based on scalability, reliability, performance, alignment with business objectives, and financial feasibility.
• Support the client in developing internal expertise to govern and adopt Agentic AI technologies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related technical discipline.
• Master's degree is an asset.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in solution architecture, technology, or digital transformation roles.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with designing and implementing Agentic and Generative AI systems.
• In-depth expertise in:
  • Large and Small Language Models (LLMs and SLMs)
  • Agentic AI and autonomous agent designs
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and knowledge systems
  • Multi-agent systems and AI orchestration techniques
  • APIs, tool and function calling, and enterprise integration patterns
  • Vector databases and embedding strategies
  • Agent memory and context handling
  • Human-in-the-loop AI architectures
  • AI governance, Responsible AI frameworks, and data protection
  • Model selection, evaluation methodologies, inference optimization, latency, cost management
  • Integration experience with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure platforms
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical teams, vendors, and business users.

Preferred Experience

• Background in government, public sector, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with UAE or Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) regional markets.
• Experience with sovereign cloud or government cloud infrastructures.
• Knowledge of Core42 or similar cloud and AI services platforms.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LangChain, or like Agentic AI tools.
• TOGAF, Azure Architecture, or equivalent certifications in architecture.
