About the Role
Join Amazon Web Services (AWS), a rapidly expanding organization, in a role designed to help customers across diverse sectors harness maximum value from AWS solutions. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) within AWS Enterprise Support, you will serve as a primary technical consultant and customer advocate, partnering with a wide spectrum of organizations, from startups to large multinational corporations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver technical solutions, guiding customers effectively while advocating their needs within AWS.
- Maintain the operational health of AWS environments for clients, focusing on reducing costs and simplifying complexity.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with customers to thoroughly understand both their business demands and technical challenges.
- Lead technical conversations about incident management, risk evaluation, and decision-making involving trade-offs.
- Engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including developers and C-suite executives.
- Work closely with AWS professionals such as Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer value from AWS services.
- Provide comprehensive analyses including service disruption reviews, performance metrics, and thorough launch planning.
- Troubleshoot and address a variety of challenges while customers transition their workloads to cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years in technical engineering roles.
- Experience with operational metrics and troubleshooting in at least three of the following areas: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, or application development within distributed systems.
- Possession of a bachelor's degree.
- Preferred: Prior experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Preferred: Proven experience as a technical lead in either internal enterprise or customer-facing contexts.
- Preferred: Relevant AWS certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect or other cloud certifications.
