About the Role
We are engaged in a major transformation initiative with a financial institution based in Abu Dhabi. We seek seasoned Project Managers with strong technical expertise to spearhead and drive multiple digital and technology transformation projects encompassing web platforms, procurement systems, and enterprise applications.
The successful candidate will bring over 10 years of intensive project management experience, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the full Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC), including initiation, planning, execution, governance, vendor management, and post-implementation support. This generalist position demands robust leadership in delivery, engagement with stakeholders, and governance across both business and technology domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex technology and digital projects from initial concept through to successful launch.
- Define clear project scopes, objectives, deliverables, and success benchmarks.
- Develop detailed, business-aligned project plans and schedules utilizing Microsoft Project.
- Drive project execution, balancing scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and risks.
- Communicate project progress to Steering Committees and senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and expectation alignment among business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Implement governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms to maintain project transparency and control.
- Oversee management of external technology vendors, ensuring adherence to deliverables, SLAs, and quality\standards.
- Lead procurement and contract negotiations for digital and technology services.
- Collaborate closely with technical leads, architects, and analysts to ensure proper solution design and delivery.
- Supervise system integrations, testing phases, and readiness for deployment.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and security protocols.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain rigorous change control processes to protect project scopes.
- Document decisions, lessons learned, and maintain project records meticulously.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- More than 10 years in technology or digital project management with expertise in web and ERP/procurement projects.
- Proven track record leading end-to-end project lifecycles using structured methodologies like Agile and/or Waterfall.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Project for detailed planning and progress tracking.
- Experience managing Steering Committees, engaging executive stakeholders, and presenting to C-level leadership.
- Strong vendor and partner management skills, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
- In-depth understanding of software delivery processes, system integrations, and digital platforms.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to confidently present to senior audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.
- Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile PM.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and other enterprise collaboration tools.
- Experience in digital transformation and enterprise systems implementation projects.
