About the role
This position sits within Woolworths Group’s Proactive Services function, focused on keeping trolleys available and maintaining stores in a clean, safe, and presentable condition. The role supports a hygienic shopping and working environment for customers and colleagues alike.
Key duties
- Lead a team across cleaning, trolley collection, and waste support while working directly alongside them.
- Support multiple store teams and help deliver a high standard of service.
- Create rosters so daily work and operational coverage are properly planned.
- Coordinate with Store Leadership to identify issues, improvement opportunities, and upcoming priorities.
- Handle time and attendance tasks for team members, including hour tracking, absence management, and policy compliance.
- Purchase consumables such as cleaning materials and manage them within budget.
- Contribute to day-to-day operations through hands-on work, including cleaning, trolley collection, and waste management.
What the role needs
- A proactive, ambitious approach with genuine interest in retail and people leadership.
- Willingness to work in varied settings, including the shop floor, fridges, freezers, and car parks.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Physical capability to handle demanding manual work.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with other Department Managers and Store Leadership on routines and timeframes.
- Good organisation to ensure the team has the equipment and supplies needed to work safely and efficiently.
- Comfort working within regulated requirements such as food safety, industrial rules, and codes of conduct.
- A valid full Australian driver’s licence, including Green P’s or a full licence, as vehicle use for trolley collection may be required.
Working pattern
This is a full-time salaried position with flexible availability required across early mornings, days, late nights, and weekends.
