Key Responsibilities

• Contribute actively to the formation and strategic evolution of a newly formed AI team from initial structuring onwards.
• Build, manage, and continuously develop a team composed of DataOps and MLOps engineers, nurturing both technical and personal growth.
• Lead recruitment efforts and provide targeted onboarding support to new team members from the outset.
• Implement modern engineering standards, best practices, and ensure ongoing quality assurance for the operation of machine learning platforms.

• Collaborate closely with experts in cloud, platform services, and data domains to jointly shape technological decisions.

Candidate Profile

• Several years of leadership experience in engineering positions such as Team Lead, Chapter Lead, or Engineering Manager, with a proven passion for developing people.
• Strong knowledge of modern data and machine learning platform technologies with hands-on experience operating ML applications in production.
• Technical expertise with cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS or equivalents), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Familiarity with standard MLOps tools and operational strategies relevant to production AI environments.
• Excellent German language skills at C1 level and solid English proficiency for daily use in interdisciplinary settings.
