Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join the Dundalk Tax Team on a permanent full-time basis. This role involves leadership responsibilities with oversight of a diverse clientele portfolio. Key tax areas include Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT compliance, and advisory services such as CGT/CAT planning and matters involving cross-border transactions. The working pattern offers a hybrid model: four days on-site and Fridays remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and growth opportunities to the Dundalk Tax Team.
- Handle and deliver quality tax services to a varied client base.
- Coordinate workflow, manage resource allocation, and ensure timely client deliverables.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients as a primary contact.
- Identify tax risks and advise clients with practical, business-oriented solutions.
- Prepare and scrutinize Corporation Tax, Income Tax, and VAT returns.
- Manage Revenue audits, interventions, enquiries, and all related correspondences.
- Support and manage tax advisory projects, including shareholder planning, exit strategies, capital gains tax, capital acquisition tax, and international matters.
- Contribute to business development efforts such as proposals and attracting new clients.
- Maintain current technical tax knowledge and meet required continuing professional development (CPD) obligations.
Candidate Requirements
- CTA qualification is mandatory.
- At least five years of post-qualification experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish tax law and compliance requirements.
- Prior experience as an Assistant Manager or Manager in an Irish accounting practice is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
- Excellent client management skills and communication abilities.
- Business-minded, proactive, and solution-driven approach.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax-related software tools.
- Self-driven, eager to advance professionally, and committed to ongoing learning.
