Position Overview

We are seeking motivated and meticulous US Tax Associates at the entry level to join our expanding US Tax team. This role provides fresh graduates the opportunity to gain practical experience in US tax compliance, focusing on federal and state tax matters while working alongside seasoned tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing US Federal and State tax returns across individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Gather, organize, and review client data and related tax documentation.
  • Prepare detailed workpapers to support accurate tax filing documentation.
  • Conduct fundamental tax research, applying US tax regulations under supervision.
  • Utilize tax preparation software and internal tools with precision.
  • Adhere to deadlines while maintaining the firm's quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to address discrepancies and respond to client inquiries.
  • Adapt and learn rapidly in a deadline-sensitive environment.
  • Align work hours with US firm and client time zones, including evenings and weekends in India.
  • Exhibit flexibility for extended hours during peak periods to ensure seamless coordination with US teams and timely delivery.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
  • Basic understanding of US tax principles through academics or relevant training.
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and foundational accounting knowledge.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Credentials

  • Actively pursuing EA or CPA certification.
