Overview
The Tax Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting the management team with delivering tax projects and ensuring high standards across a variety of tax disciplines within set deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage income tax, capital gains tax (CGT), corporate tax, and VAT compliance tasks.
- Provide diverse tax advisory services including succession planning, business and property transactions, Revenue engagements, and cross-border VAT matters.
- Support Partners and Managers in handling a wide range of assignments, especially compliance-related work.
- Guide and supervise junior staff members as needed.
- Oversee several tax assignments simultaneously while optimizing resource use and time management, seeking direction when necessary.
- Collaborate proactively with colleagues across departments such as audit and company secretarial to support tax-related functions.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Possession of Tax Consultant qualification (AITI CTC) is mandatory.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working within a professional tax team at a top 20 Irish practice.
- Solid understanding across multiple tax categories.
- Demonstrated strong technical expertise.
- Experience serving a broad client base across various sectors.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
