Job description

About Tracksuit

Tracksuit is dedicated to enabling marketers to demonstrate the effectiveness of their brand building. By providing teams with crucial data, we empower smarter decision-making, stakeholder engagement, budget justification, and progress tracking. Unlike the prevalent brand tracking market dominated by extensive reports, static data, and high costs, Tracksuit offers a modern approach: continuous, accessible, and user-friendly insights.

Currently, we monitor over 1,000 brands across 25 countries globally. With offices situated in Auckland, Sydney, London, and New York City, we are rapidly expanding with a collaborative and ambitious team. Our company culture emphasizes "high care, high performance," striving for excellence while supporting one another.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Talent Partner to join our Sydney or Auckland Talent Team. You will lead recruitment for positions primarily in New Zealand and Australia, alongside some opportunities in the US and UK. You will collaborate with hiring managers across Customer Support, Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, and Engineering teams. Your mission is to recruit individuals who will help us achieve our goal of embedding our data in every boardroom by 2030. This role requires confident decision-making, problem definition, and weighing trade-offs. You will also contribute to evolving our Talent function by integrating AI and continuously refining our processes beyond just filling vacancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment predominantly across New Zealand and Australia, extending to US and UK roles, encompassing job postings, sourcing, interviewing, negotiating offers, and contract preparation. You are responsible for achieving successful hiring outcomes.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to ascertain needs, create engaging job descriptions and advertisements, and guide them towards consistent, high-quality recruitment, including constructive challenges based on data around scope, expectations, or deadlines.
  • Develop a robust talent pipeline through proactive sourcing across platforms, professional networks, and engagement with local tech, startup, and marketing communities.
  • Ensure candidates experience a welcoming, clear, and respectful recruitment journey, including those not selected for roles.
  • Create diverse shortlists and conduct structured, equitable recruitment procedures to provide fair opportunities for all.
  • Leverage AI daily to enhance sourcing, draft communications, and minimize administrative burdens.
  • Utilize Ashby ATS and analytics to monitor recruitment funnels, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Experiment with new tools and workflows, retaining effective practices and disseminating improvements throughout the team.
  • Identify and implement improvements in hiring processes, automate inefficient tasks, and contribute to employer branding efforts in collaboration with People and Marketing teams.
  • Support employer brand growth via events, social media, partnerships, and initiatives.

Success Metrics

  • Recruitment efficiency measured by time to hire and offer acceptance rates.
  • Evaluation of hire quality by performance and integration within six months.
  • Hiring manager satisfaction regarding process and candidate quality.

What Makes This Role Unique

  • Exposure to new markets and talent pools requiring rapid learning and adaptation.
  • High recruitment volume with multiple simultaneous openings demanding prioritization and sustained candidate experience.
  • Requirement for ambiguity tolerance and self-direction, shaping recruitment approaches independently.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Personable and relationship-oriented, fostering connections with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Experienced and comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance recruitment processes.
  • Communicates empathetically, treating every candidate respectfully.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, adept at managing multiple priorities without losing focus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset focused on continuous process improvement.
  • Willingness to engage in diverse tasks, from interviewing senior candidates to refining recruitment workflows.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Extensive full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably in SaaS, technology, or high-growth startup environments, covering diverse roles including Customer, Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success in recruitment evidenced by key performance indicators such as number of hires, time to hire, and offer acceptance at various levels.
  • Strong ownership with the ability to navigate ambiguous hiring challenges and confidently make informed decisions.
  • Established network in New Zealand or Australian tech and startup sectors; experience recruiting in US or UK is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for relationship-building at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with ATS and recruitment technologies, preferably Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Understanding the dynamics of scaling startups, including transparent communication about employee equity schemes (ESOP) with candidates.
  • Active and proficient use of AI to streamline various hiring functions from sourcing to communication.
  • Creative and proactive problem-solving approach and a drive for process enhancement.
