Tailor Master

About the Role

ZORO Groom & Bride is seeking a skilled Tailor Master specialized in men's ethnic, formal, and occasion wear. This full-time position is based at the ZORO Groom & Bride tailoring branch/unit in Malappuram, Kerala, India. The job focuses on stitching, alterations, fittings, and finishing premium garments, requiring great attention to detail and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Create garments based on customer measurements and specifications with precision.
• Expertly tailor various men’s clothing such as Suits, Jodhpuri, Sherwani, Indo-Western attire, Kurtas, Kanthura, Shirts, and Pants.
• Accurately perform measurement-taking, cutting, stitching, alteration, fitting, and final finishing tasks.
• Maintain the shape, fit, and quality of each garment ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Manage customized designs and fulfill specific customer requests.
• Conduct alterations and corrections as necessary.
• Carry out professional ironing and finalize garments before handing them over.
• Inspect and verify garment quality thoroughly prior to delivery.
• Complete assigned tasks timely while upholding quality standards.
• Handle delicate and premium fabrics with care.
• Collaborate effectively with fashion designers, sales personnel, and management on customer orders and requirements.
• Keep the tailoring workspace clean, tidy, and well organized.

Requirements

• Prior tailoring experience is required, particularly as a Tailor Master or Master Tailor.
• Deep understanding of men’s garment construction and tailoring techniques.
• Proficient in handling suits, Jodhpuri, Sherwani, Indo-Western styles, Kurta, Kanthura, shirt, and pant tailoring.
• Excellent skills in measurements, cutting, fitting, alterations, and finishing details.
• Ability to comprehend and execute customer-specific tailoring needs.
• Capable of working independently and managing sewing work assigned.
• Skilled in professional ironing and garment finishing.
• Experience with premium menswear, bridal/groom wear, or designer garments is favorable.
• Comfortable working with customized, made-to-measure clothing.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and complete tasks within agreed delivery timelines.

Compensation

Wages are paid on a work-per-piece basis, with earnings depending on the complexity, quality, and quantity of the completed tasks. Monthly remuneration varies between 10,000 and 40,000 INR, contingent on output.
