About the Role
Join GardaWorld as a Tactical Security Guard stationed in Hamilton, Ontario. This position demands vigilance, quick risk assessment, and proactive action. Your sharp observational abilities paired with strong interpersonal skills are essential in securing facilities like retail environments, airports, and security centers. Physical stamina is important as the role involves extensive patrolling throughout your shift.
Work Schedule and Location
Shifts include Monday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM at postal code L8P 1H4.
Compensation and Benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Control visitor access, verify identification, manage passes and keys.
- Guard restricted zones to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Perform consistent patrols of indoor, outdoor, and parking areas.
- Oversee security monitoring through CCTV and alarm systems.
- Respond promptly to any security breaches, alarms, or medical situations.
- Support evacuation procedures and fire drills.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards or security issues.
- Maintain detailed and accurate daily and incident documentation.
- Aid in investigations related to theft or damages.
- Ensure adherence to security, health, and safety regulations on-site.
Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Current and valid security guard license.
- Certification in First Aid.
- Physical fitness to remain standing and mobile for the entire shift.
