Wynn Al Marjan Island is set to become the UAE's first integrated resort, slated to open in 2027. Located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in Ras Al Khaimah, the resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 dining venues including restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, a beach club, multiple swimming pools, a luxury spa, salon, shopping promenade, and a venue for celebrations and events.

Position Overview

The role requires joining the IT Operations Engineering & Support Team to design, implement, and maintain scalable hybrid infrastructure solutions ensuring high operational excellence for the resort's IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy scalable infrastructure solutions across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Manage and upgrade essential systems including servers, storage arrays, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
• Create and maintain automation tools to facilitate deployment processes, system monitoring, and incident management.
• Use monitoring dashboards and telemetry tools such as DataDog and Kibana to oversee system health and performance.
• Perform root cause analyses and generate detailed postmortem reports following major incidents.
• Work collaboratively with software engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and product teams to maintain operational quality.
• Define and iteratively improve SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets to guide system reliability and performance targets.
• Ensure all IT operations comply with organizational policies, data protection regulations, and audit standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, standard operating procedures, and develop troubleshooting guides.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Brings 3 to 5 years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or IT infrastructure roles.
• Experienced in supporting enterprise-level server infrastructures with 24/7 high availability, including hybrid infrastructure, automation, and security best practices.
• Proficient with core networking and system services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, storage solutions, backups, monitoring tools, and certificate management.
• Skilled in installing, configuring, securing, and troubleshooting both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Demonstrates strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, and virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Knowledgeable about containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Thorough understanding of distributed computing systems and microservices architectures.
• Holds relevant certifications, for example in Azure/AWS cloud platforms, ITIL, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Excellent analytical abilities and communication skills.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
