System Engineer - Enterprise Management Solutions and AIOps

Overview

We seek a seasoned System Engineer with specialized expertise in OpenText (Micro Focus) Enterprise Management Solutions, focusing on AIOps and machine learning-enhanced IT operations. The role involves more than routine administration—it emphasizes advancing intelligent monitoring, automation, and operational excellence at an enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee, improve, and maintain OpenText Enterprise Management platforms within large-scale enterprise contexts.
• Deploy and refine AIOps and ML-driven monitoring to achieve proactive event correlation and operational insight.
• Set up, integrate, and provide support for tools including OBM/OMi, SiteScope, NNMi, BVD, OBR, Operations Orchestration, Optic Data Lake, UCMDB, and Cloud Optimizer.
• Create dashboards, develop analytics and reports, and build automation workflows.
• Integrate OpenText solutions with ServiceNow, additional third-party software, and cloud infrastructures.
• Conduct root cause analysis, tune system performance, perform platform upgrades, and spearhead modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with teams from infrastructure, cloud services, applications, and security to deliver comprehensive monitoring solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum eight years’ experience working with OpenText (Micro Focus) Enterprise Management Systems.
• Deep knowledge of AIOps, machine learning-driven monitoring, and intelligent enterprise operational frameworks.
• Proficiency with core tools such as OBM/OMi, SiteScope, NNMi, UCMDB, BVD, OBR, Operations Orchestration, Optic Data Lake, and Cloud Optimizer.
• Experience in supporting and enhancing monitoring platforms within sizable enterprise environments.
• Skilled in integrating these systems with ServiceNow and other ITSM platforms.
• Competency in automation, API integration, and scripting languages including Perl and VBScript.
• Strong familiarity with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems, SQL Server, Oracle databases, and cloud monitoring across Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications from OpenText, HP, or Micro Focus.
• Background working in sectors such as aviation, government, banking, telecommunications, utilities, or similar large enterprises.
• Proven experience in client interactions, solution architecture design, and enterprise implementation projects.
