Job description

Job Overview

The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of IT hardware and software across multiple branches, including computers, printers, POS systems, and network equipment. The System Administrator will provide comprehensive technical support to employees and branch staff, ensuring all operational systems run smoothly and securely.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Setup, configure, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT hardware.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of POS systems, billing software, and other related applications at multiple branch locations.
  • Deliver technical assistance to users regarding hardware and software challenges.
  • Manage and maintain the network infrastructure, including LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, routers, and switches.
  • Liaise with internet service providers and software vendors to address technical problems and service needs.
  • Install, monitor, and repair CCTV systems, including DVRs, NVRs, and cameras.
  • Administer user accounts, including managing email IDs, passwords, system access levels, and permissions under management authorization.
  • Ensure all operating systems, applications, and antivirus software are up to date and functioning correctly.
  • Conduct regular data backups and support data recovery processes when necessary.
  • Monitor security protocols to protect systems from unauthorized intrusion, malware, and data breaches.
  • Keep detailed records of IT assets such as computers, POS machines, printers, CCTV hardware, networking devices, and software licenses.
  • Perform routine inspections of IT equipment across branches to detect maintenance needs or identify when replacement is necessary.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for procurement, installation, maintenance contracts, repairs, and replacement of IT components.
  • Assist accounts and HR departments in resolving technology-related issues in payroll, accounting, and attendance systems.
  • Provide technical support for biometric attendance devices and related software.
  • Support management in the deployment of new software, applications, and technology solutions.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for IT issues, repair histories, maintenance contracts, password and access logs, and equipment transfers.
  • Ensure optimal functioning of all branch systems to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on system usage, POS operations, software applications, and IT security practices as required.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of company data and sensitive information.
  • Carry out regular preventive maintenance of IT systems and equipment.
  • Prepare and submit reports regarding IT assets, system issues, repairs, and maintenance activities to management.
  • Perform any other IT tasks assigned by management.
