Job description
Role Overview
The System Administrator is responsible for managing and sustaining the computer infrastructure within an educational institution. This person supports the technological needs of students, educators, and administrative personnel by ensuring smooth functioning of all digital systems.
Key Duties
- Manage and create mass user accounts for students, teachers, and staff, including overseeing role-based permissions and resetting passwords.
- Maintain and monitor local area networks, campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity, and server infrastructure whether hosted on-premise or in the cloud.
- Deploy, update, and manage licenses for campus-wide software applications such as learning management systems, lab software, and ERP administrative programs.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues encountered in computer labs, smart classroom setups, and faculty workstations.
- Ensure data protection by implementing consistent backup strategies, configuring firewalls, and complying with institutional privacy policies.
