Role Overview

As a Support Worker positioned in various locations across Co. Cork including Ballincollig, Middleton, Turners Cross, Mallow, Fermoy, and Kildorery, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored assistance to individuals in both residential and community settings. The position requires helping clients gain independence, enhance life skills, engage in community activities, and achieve their personal objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, individualized support that respects the dignity and preferences of each person.
• Serve as the Key Worker for designated individuals, ensuring consistent and coordinated care.
• Assist with personal care requirements sensitively and respectfully.
• Manage and administer medications following established policies.
• Facilitate community involvement and access to resources.
• Support routine household tasks and daily living activities.
• Maintain thorough and accurate care documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Uphold safeguarding practices and promote positive results for those supported.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a QQI Level 5 qualification or higher related to healthcare or social care fields.
• Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication.
• Solid understanding of safeguarding principles and person-centered approaches.
• Preferably, experience in disability or social care sectors.
• Holding a full driving license is advantageous.
