Job Overview
This role ensures seamless statutory, financial, and administrative adherence for mining activities by managing permits, statutory payments, proper documentation, vendor processing, and regulatory liaison, focusing largely on interactions with the District Mining Office (DMO).
Core Responsibilities
- Secure, monitor, and renew all electronic permits from the DMO promptly.
- Maintain and reconcile records of payments related to statutory dues such as Royalty, DMFT, NMET, TCS, Management Fee, Dead Rent, Surface Rent, and JMBL Cess.
- Ensure timely processing of payments and compliance reporting to statutory authorities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and official correspondence concerning mining operations.
- Initiate purchase requisitions, manage vendor invoices, and coordinate timely payments.
- Regularly liaise with DMO and other regulatory offices to handle approvals, compliance checks, and audits.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing precise data and accessible records.
Business Excellence
- Guarantee uninterrupted mining and dispatch operations through timely e-permit approvals and statutory clearances.
- Enhance process discipline by standardizing documentation, permit tracking, and compliance procedures across districts.
- Serve as a single coordination point linking mines, DMO offices, finance, and logistics to boost operational efficiency.
- Maintain audit-ready records and accurate reporting to build regulatory trust and organizational integrity.
- Support seamless business continuity by proactively managing compliance risks and planning transitions.
Financial Management
- Enable cost savings by continuously improving processes without sacrificing delivery quality.
- Ensure prompt processing and payment of all statutory dues to prevent interest, penalties, and cash leakages.
- Optimize cash flow via accurate forecasting and scheduling of statutory payments and renewals.
- Prevent operational stoppages and associated cash losses by ensuring uninterrupted availability of e-permits and regulatory approvals.
- Maintain working capital control through timely vendor bill processing, preventing backlogs, duplicate payments, or escalation costs.
- Accurately reconcile payments and dues to avoid excessive payments, disputes, or delayed recoveries.
Customer Focus
- Assure continuous supply of bauxite to internal customers by maintaining timely availability of e-permits and statutory clearances.
- Support adherence to dispatch schedules through proactive communication with DMO offices and field teams.
- Reduce delays, rejections, and escalations resulting from permit lapses, paperwork gaps, or compliance issues.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring compliance-driven continuity of mining and logistics operations.
Sustainability Efforts
- Promote sustainable resource use by monitoring ore dispatch, royalty payments, and statutory reporting effectively.
- Keep transparent records of environment-related statutory payments such as DMFT and NMET.
- Contribute to long-term operational stability by ensuring uninterrupted permit availability and maintaining good regulatory relations.
Safety and Compliance
- Confirm validity of all statutory documentation, permits, and approvals to prevent unsafe or unauthorized mining activities.
- Encourage disciplined work practices through timely approvals and documentation to mitigate operational and legal risks.
- Collaborate with site teams to align dispatch operations with approved permits and plans.
People Development and Engagement
- Oversee recruitment and deployment of physically capable, suitably trained contractual workers, ensuring ongoing training and wellbeing per company standards.
