With a legacy exceeding 150 years, Nestlé has established itself as a leading global food and beverage company renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation. We are seeking a Supply & IMS Planner to join our team in Bryanston, Gauteng, South Africa.
Role Summary
The Supply & IMS Planner plays a crucial role in creating effective supply and production schedules aligned with available capacity to ensure the delivery of fresh finished goods, at optimal stock points, adhering strictly to timely and complete customer demand fulfillment while optimizing total delivered costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze Master Production Schedules (MPS) and Inter-Market Supply (IMS) plans over an 18-month horizon, addressing network complexities and supply constraints to meet customer requirements.
- Manage inventory by balancing product availability against inventory holding costs to maintain optimal stock levels at appropriate locations.
- Address planning exceptions by examining deviations, making informed business decisions based on priorities, and adjusting production plans accordingly.
- Consistently maintain high customer service levels domestically and for IMS clients, ensuring compliance with Working Capital and Freshness targets and minimizing product spoilage.
- Collaborate with receiving market planners to establish and periodically review finished goods stock policies and proactively resolve stock level issues.
- Identify and address volume variances impacting supply, challenge and enhance existing logistics and supply planning processes and tools to improve efficiency and time savings, and monitor evolving requirements.
- Engage regularly with manufacturing teams to optimize lot sizes and cycle times to achieve ideal finished goods inventory levels, while supporting demand planners to enhance forecasting accuracy.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree or national diploma in Industrial Engineering, B-Tech, or an equivalent qualification emphasizing Planning or Logistics.
- At least two years of relevant operational experience at the market or business level, ideally encompassing production planning, supply network or IMS planning, or other demand and supply planning roles.
