Role Overview and Key Duties

The Supply Chain Officer will ensure the smooth, precise, and dependable movement of materials, products, data, and services throughout the supply chain. Collaborating with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal departments, the officer will manage supply continuity, handle purchasing and inventory operations, and support delivery adherence aligned with company standards and operational needs.

  • Manage daily supply chain tasks such as purchasing, order processing, inventory oversight, transportation, and delivery tracking.
  • Create, issue, and monitor purchase orders and supplier communications per approved procedures.
  • Track supplier acknowledgments, lead times, order statuses, delivery plans, and pending matters.
  • Keep comprehensive records for suppliers, purchase orders, inventory, shipment documents, delivery data, and related transactions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and logistics providers to address delays, shortages, quality problems, documentation issues, and discrepancies in deliveries.
  • Assist with inventory management activities including stock monitoring, cycle counts, reconciliations, and variance investigations.
  • Coordinate the timely procurement of materials, products, packaging, and other necessary supplies for operations.
  • Analyze demand, consumption, and supply data to detect potential shortages, surplus stock, or risks to supply.
  • Support monitoring supplier performance focusing on delivery, quality, responsiveness, costs, and compliance with requirements.
  • Maintain effective internal communication among procurement, operations, finance, manufacturing, warehousing, quality control, and other teams.
  • Ensure all purchasing and supply chain procedures comply with company policies, supplier agreements, contracts, and applicable regulations.
  • Verify shipping, receipt, and invoicing details and help resolve discrepancies in coordination with relevant parties.
  • Participate in improving processes, promoting cost efficiencies, mitigating risks, and supporting supply chain initiatives.
  • Promptly report supply interruptions, material shortages, delivery challenges, and other concerns to the designated stakeholders.
  • Exhibit ownership by completing responsibilities accurately, timely, and with proper follow-up.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven background in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, logistics, inventory management, order processing, or similar fields.
  • Hands-on understanding of purchasing workflows, supplier coordination, inventory control, transportation, and delivery operations.
  • Experience in managing purchase orders, supplier information, shipping documentation, reports, and operational records.
  • Ability to track supply timelines, identify risks, investigate anomalies, and coordinate corrective actions promptly.
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers, logistics companies, and internal departments.
  • Strong organizational skills capable of handling multiple orders, deadlines, priorities, and follow-ups simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including spreadsheets, and familiarity with ERP systems, procurement platforms, or inventory management software.
  • Relevant academic qualifications, certifications, vocational training, or professional experience in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, procurement, or related disciplines is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and aptitude for cross-functional teamwork across different locations.
