Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional with 7-12 years in the casting and automobile industry to oversee supply chain operations including procurement, production planning, inventory control, vendor management, and logistics. This role is crucial to ensuring the consistent availability of materials, optimized inventory, and smooth coordination between suppliers, manufacturing, and clients, thereby supporting the company’s growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and evaluate supplier delivery performance and adherence to lead times.
• Develop monthly, weekly, and daily material requirement plans.
• Work closely with the production team to align production scheduling.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Monitor and analyze inventory aging and implement corrective strategies as needed.
• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and dispatch.
• Ensure timely delivery compliance by tracking customer shipments.
• Generate and analyze procurement, inventory, and supply chain reports using ERP systems such as SAP.
• Maintain accurate ERP transaction records and develop management dashboards to monitor key supply chain metrics.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in inventory holding and logistics expenses.

Qualifications and Skills

• B.E. or B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Industrial, Production Engineering or a graduate in any discipline.
• Proficient knowledge in Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Production Planning & Control (PPC), Inventory Management, Demand Forecasting, and Logistics & Warehouse Management.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP or equivalent platforms.
• Strong command of advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and MIS reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Profile

• 7 to 12 years of hands-on experience in supply chain, procurement, planning or materials management, preferably in plastic manufacturing or casting sectors.
• Good understanding of polymer raw materials and market supply dynamics.
• Proven track record in vendor management, production planning, and inventory optimization strategies.
