Role Overview
The Supply Chain / Logistics Coordinator is a vital contributor to ensuring seamless and efficient transportation of goods, materials, and related data across the supply chain network. This role supports areas such as procurement, inventory control, transportation, and distribution by collaborating with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments. The Coordinator focuses on process optimization, shipment tracking, issue resolution, and maintaining adherence to both operational policies and regulatory standards. Exceptional organizational capability and the aptitude to juggle multiple demanding priorities in a dynamic environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to guarantee on-time delivery coupled with precise documentation.
- Manage inventory levels diligently, including stock audits, generation of reports, and planning replenishment activities.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to confirm schedules, address discrepancies, and ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Prepare, assess, and verify accuracy of shipment-related paperwork such as bills of lading and customs documentation.
- Assist procurement and purchasing teams regarding materials delivery schedules and evaluate supplier performance metrics.
- Contribute to route planning, optimize freight usage, and execute cost containment strategies aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency.
- Maintain detailed logs of shipment movements, inventory transactions, and logistics performance indicators.
- Track critical KPIs including delivery timelines, order accuracy, and transportation expenditure.
- Collaborate closely with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to align logistics with business objectives.
- Support initiatives intended to improve processes and ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Two to four years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain operations, or a similar capacity.
- Solid understanding of supply chain workflows, inventory control practices, and transportation management.
- Proficient user of logistics applications, ERP platforms, and spreadsheet tools for data management and analytics.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management prowess with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving skills to tackle challenges such as shipment delays, inventory shortages, or operational issues.
- Capability to analyze operational data, monitor KPIs, and recommend improvements to boost performance.
- Adaptability to rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-moving workplace environment.
- Unwavering commitment to accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in all supply chain functions.
