Role Overview

As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be instrumental in managing materials and components procurement to support engineering, manufacturing, and finance teams. Your efforts will ensure timely ordering, tracking, and delivery of items vital for smooth production and hardware development.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and administer purchase orders for materials, parts, and services.
• Engage with suppliers to monitor order progress and guarantee punctual deliveries.
• Maintain precise procurement records using ERP/MRP systems.
• Collaborate with Finance to reconcile purchasing, inventory, and financial data.
• Track inventory movements, support serialisation, and prepare materials for production builds.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock reconciliation tasks.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers about order statuses, scheduling, and resolve issues.
• Identify and elevate supply chain risks, delays, or shortages promptly.
• Support the onboarding process for new approved suppliers.
• Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to understand material demands and prioritize accordingly.
• Ensure accurate management of serial numbers, revisions, and specifications in business systems.
• Facilitate smooth material flow through manufacturing processes and troubleshoot availability challenges affecting schedules.
• Initiate and support continuous improvements in procurement, inventory control, and logistics workflows.
• Enhance ERP/MRP data accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Generate and maintain detailed supply chain data and reporting for decision-making.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, or manufacturing support.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Strong organizational capabilities with a focus on ensuring task completion.
• Proficiency or quick adaptability to ERP/MRP platforms.
• Advanced skills in Excel and data manipulation.
• Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Confidence in identifying problems, escalating risks, and ensuring resolution.
• Sound understanding of procurement, inventory, and logistics operations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic workplace environment.

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, electronics, defence, or other highly technical sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
