Role Overview

We are seeking a Supervisor for Fruit Production based in Bay of Plenty. The role involves overseeing orchard crews across multiple locations to ensure pruning, thinning, and harvesting operations are carried out safely, punctually, and in accordance with the growers' quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and oversee orchard crews at various sites.
• Organise daily work schedules and assign tasks to workers accordingly.
• Monitor quality assurance and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Implement health and safety procedures and document any incidents.
• Maintain accurate records of work hours, tasks completed, and output levels.
• Communicate and coordinate with growers and orchard managers effectively.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in horticulture or orchard supervision, or possession of a Level 4 certificate in management or business, or a Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Strong leadership capabilities and effective communication skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Right to work in New Zealand or eligibility for an Accredited Employer Work Visa.

Compensation and Working Conditions

• Hourly wage ranges from $30 to $35 depending on experience.
• Permanent or fixed-term employment options available.
• Workweek consists of 30 to 40 hours, with potential for increased hours during peak seasons.
• Position located in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.
